»Simulacra / Hermaphrodite«, 2003
| |
 |
 |
 |
| SIMULACRA / HERMAPHRODITE is a
viewer interactive, forced air inflated jump-room which references
the gender duality in all people, while at the same time forcing
the fact that no object can be defined by it's
linguistic identification. It is both male / female, phallus, feces,
and food. |
»Utopia«, 2004
| |
 |
 |
 |
UTOPIA is an installation of the three
connected geodesic domes representing the structural utopian ideals
of Buckminster Fuller.
With the interior spaces
an interpretation of the allegory of Plato's cave (i.e. light and
shadow and the fact that all artists and poets are liars). Combined
with the Californian utopian vision, or it's realities through the
use of headphones (private space),
playing punk, rap, metal, folk, rock, and ethnic songs about California. |
»Cool«, 2004
| |
 |
 |
| »COOL« is an oversized white
Styrofoam beer cooler and a sarcophagus for the artist to keep him
cold and party ready
for the picnic upon his death. It is poking clean fun at the excess
of the American lifestyle of clean fun and clean death while at the
same time embracing it. |
