»Bitweg«, 2000

Material: grey concrete varnish, white wall paint, 5 neon lights

This parallel structure was installed inside a small room, in an dilapidated building. The cardboard in a rectangular shape is leading rotation wise upwards. The entrance to the room is blocked with the structure so one has to climb if he wants to enter the room. A closer look inside this installation, reminds of a huge garage building. The cold colour of concrete and the bright light are the same things we know from such buildings.

»Interdruck«, 2002

Material: polystyrene, construction foam, wall paint, 200cm x 100cm x 800cm, chrome lacquer varnish spray, approx. 300cm x 400cm

Once the visitor enters the gallery space, his exploration of the show is beeing stopped by a white tunnel which is cutting off one room from the other. There is not enough space for one to get between the tiny gap which is left by the sculpture. This tunnel sculpture is a repeating process of one and the same polystyrene tiles which are glued together and resolve into a huge tunnel. As aggressive this sculpture may be in the other hand it has got a very small skin, so anybody who would decide to take his way inside the tunnel to get into the next room directly, would have been the last one.

»Schorndorf«, 2003

Material: plaster boards, lacquer varnish, battens

The structure, made of cut out strips from cardboards, is leading between the columns of the industrial like exhibition space. The connection between ceiling and the floor is done with the simple wooden construction that is carrying the whole “fence”. Of course there is a similarity with an old basement whose we were afraid of as kids because of its darkness and wet cold smell. Here it turns around to be painted shiny yellow if we step on the opposite side of the structure. Even the walls are influenced by the neon yellow which throws its reflection onto the walls.
